basically i make my models in 3ds max and i can export them to obj and 3ds
i wanna know how to put them into quake
and what co ordinates (x,y,z) they need to be

if u could tell me how to do this for weapons and people/character, enemies etc.. i would be extremley greatful thanks

I wouldn't think its possible, However you could still use Quick 3D Pro. Rolling Eyes

You will need to get Blender and the Quake mdl exporter. Once you get them, you will import the .3ds file into Blender, resize it, have a texture on it, and export it as mdl.

can u record this the next time u convert a model so i can see a video version of it and also
have u got reference model i could use for the weapons and characters
so that i get them the right size and on the right co-ordinates

I could Upload a couple models so you can see the Size Comparison, and what Angles they need to be.

I dunno about Recording a video however, Because I have my Blender already setup, but I guess I could try
