anywho so as name suggests xbox 360 hacking is dead or as its referred to as a jtag.

ps3 hacking is a different story tho, recently i found out that sum ppl got the keys for the ps3 that is used to sign ps3 apps and shortly after that a ps3 cfw was released by the huge-ego geohot. it simply adds the option to install package files(which is how u install homebrew to ps3) iso loaders are being worked atm(they would be here sooner if geohot wasnt such a fag and fckin blocked backup loading. yes he put his OWN security on his CUSTOM firmware)

currently a cfw (thats not made by geo-fag) is being worked on which has backup loading support and a few more features i think.

well anyway if u wanna play homebrew at the very least download his cfw here www.geohot.com and check www.psx-scene.com or www.ps3-hacks.com for info on the latest ps3 hacks. btw ur ps3 musy be on 3.55 for geofags hack to work.

I personally agree with what "Geo-fag" or George has done, all the morons are just going to pirate all the new games = less good titles for ps3. I actually hope sony fixes this, which they have to pull something out of their ass, so it probably won't happen. I DO NOT condone piracy. Although, if find homebrew to be very fun instead of having to pay for everything, no free (and homemade/ older titles (psx/snes..)) games is bogus. But pirating new games is just going to kill the industry.

I thought about this too. I was telling Them that if they have the keys to the PS3, and everyone can play PS3 Pirated and Homebrew games, then Sony is bound to stop making new consoles or games at that. If they are losing a significant amount of money, then they will stop making games, so they don't lose money. Then that would be pointless for all those PS3 Pirates, because there wouldn't be any games to play.

I like the Idea of Homebrew and stuff on the PS3, and it should stay at that and plugins. There is a line that some need to draw. And George clearly seen that he would have went overboard and patched his own CFW.

i wouldnt use it for piracy that much. mostly i would backup the games i have in case they get scratched or sumtin like that. and as far as i know, sony cannot patch it. they full access to the console meaning they can override any attempt made by sony. keep in mind that this is no exploit like on the 360 and wii which,and has been proven, will eventually no longer work- no this is the real deal hackers own the ps3 now and i dont think that its capabilitides should be squandered simply bc he doesnt want piracy. let pirates be pirates, theyll learn eventually.

yea, They sure will. They will learn by not making public games. At this rate of their consoles getting hacked over, they Will stop at ps3 and be done. So PS3 might be the last console. And I wouldn't encourage pirates to be pirates because if they decide to keep making games, then they will be more strict on the consoles, and Start taking people to court over Hacking/Piracy. Then it will be ruined for everyone.

Mexi, if you get a ps3 get a fat if you can. Then if you want you can experiment with linux and such.

Dudes not to be rude but grow up lil. Most of these pepols like geohot doesnt make these because of pirating games. If every console etc thinks like you that once something gets hacked there would be no more games. Psp cfw. It was done very early in psp. And so did pirating. How many companys stopped workng on psp, did sony stop making things for psp. No. Why. cause only about tiny amount of pepols use thease hacks, only tiny of thease pepols use this for pirating. Like look at pc. They release and still almost all games made for pc are being hacked and pirated in some way or another.Even as far as creating own servers (aiw well its more for alter server and not to meant for pirating). And still pc is leading platform for games. I think we all could sue sony for removing linux support. Basicaly the took support (good one) away from stuff we may wanted and bought. Also we bought the console. Its ours. If we want we could all trow our consoles outt of window, srun over, smash with car, smash base ball bat, cover up with c4 and blow the crapo up. And sony couldn't do crapo for us. But why they make us not able to do our own things for it. Doesn't that seem to violate rules of owning stuff. And when someone does it slely for home brews (not pirates) they sue the person. YES they sue geohot.

I think thease things are like jaibreaking are good. (they are even legal YES LEGAL on some things like android and iphone.) They should open the yes and actualy develope the protection INSIDE the cd not to console. COnsole hacked = all games open.

In my option: geohot did awesome job. And the person with psp keys too (exept psp jailbreak too)

When you purchase a Game console, Game, Or application, you have to accept the usage rules That are set for whatever you are using. Every time you install a game on your Pc, it asks you to accept some agreement before you install, if you decline, then no installation is done.

So by not following the Usage rules, you are breaking the law. Yea, you may have bought it, but you are still running it based on their rules.

And with consoles getting hacked, that is like a domino effect. It spreads like a wild fire. I hacked a couple friends psp's, then they showed their friends, and then their friends wanted their psp's hacked, and then it just spread like that. Then people figure crap out and go start downloading games. Sony loses money in this whole Operation. If you have a target amount of money that needs to be met before you start getting that money back that you invested, but people are pirating the games so you never meet that, then they will get discouraged and stop game developing Period. Then we will be stuck with these consoles like the Wii, that are limiting to what you can do.

And I don't know why you are telling us to grow up. Who was acting immature on the subject?

well theres luck for geo as he has a lawyer now that is quite experienced in these kinds of cases. according to leaked documents(can get them at psx-scene.com) he deemed the TRO an invasion of privacy and also counters alot of the claims sony made against geo. and tbh even if sony had a chance of winning, this will by no means stop ps3 hacking. oh ya and also sony admitted that the hacks are unpatchable which means that his whole thing is just a sissy fit by sony
