Don't forget about removing the screen. On my slim, the connector died to the light. A little plastic piece fell off. I still have my phat though.

u need to be more careful take ur time its a delicate process

I meant that I took it apart to see what happened to fined out that the connector to the ribbon cable had broke. (Have no clue how.) Laugh out loud

i remember wen i was a total noob to opening stuff up and i took aoart my ps2. i accidentally broke the ribbon cabe that connected to the controller port Laugh out loud. now i wouldnt make such an idiotic mistake . guess u learn from ur mistakes tho Laugh out loud

I took my psp apart in the last couple weeks. I had 2, and I was basically taking the 2 psps, taking the good parts, and making 1 fully functional 1. I think I lost over 10 screws, I broke the power connector, and broke a little piece that holds the screen ribbons in, as well as Punctured one of the Speakers(it is scratchy now).

I guess you learn though. Now I got WLAN, as well as a good battery. Analog is busted though. It kinda glitches out.

In the begining though, I messed both the psps up. After some time, I managed to find the problems and fix em.

Yeah, when I was like two or three I would constantly take electronics apart and completely obliterate them, Laugh out loud. Now I have a bunch of useless old PC crap hanging around my room along with the parts to that PSP Slim (a cat knocked it onto the floor.) I plan on building a new computer when I ever get money.
