Windows 7 64 bit on Netbook!!!

People said it was imposible well look at the proof...Acer Aspire One D260. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Proof screen shots...Well my boardness proved all those people wrong!!! I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on my Acer Aspire One D260. I took the screen shots...The GMA 3150 does suport 64 bit. There is even a driver for it. (Thank you google for being there to help me find the driver that I needed.)

Edit: I installed 32 bit Windows 7 Ultimate on the system and look at this...I thought that this was strange,







See the difference between the two Graphics porformance with the 64 bit and the 32 bit...strange.

its cool and all, but this seems like it would b a bit cpu intensive and it would use more ram.

This is kind of impractical, you should have at least 4gbs of ram and a decent processor for 64bit to make it worth while.

Actually...People just say its better to have 4 GB of RAM. Having 2 GB is the recomended for Windows 7 64 bit.

Check out what I added to the post I posted...Guys...I found something strange with the the 64 bit and the 32 bit...

Soooo, I installed the reinstalled the graphics driver (The other driver was from acer, this one is from the same site I got the 64 bit driver from,) and now I have a 3.0 for windows aero...That tells me that the one from acer is a little corrupted... Here it is...

It's good that you got the right drivers, that looks a bit better... Which performs better? (64 or 32 bit)

Yeah, I noticed that when I went to instal itl...It didn't let me fix it so I just resently fixed it...Anyway, I see a slight performance difference between the two. 32 bit is faster slightly with browsing the internet and no lag with adobe flash player. With the 64 bit version was faster at browing through the files...I preffer 32 bit than 64bit on this system. I do think that the 64 bit did perform quite well on this netbook. (Sorry for my bad spelling, I am tired.)

is there any difference when playin a game like cs 1.6 or halo?

No dfference at all...I have never played Counter Strike.
