Old Doom 1 Test Builds Pretty Cool

These are some Doom 1 test builds ive found while building up my rare game database.

They are kinda cool because they have funny textures and graphics. Its a nice find for Doom fans... its a must have
I have build 0.2 0.4 0.5 and the preview beta.

I love Doom!

I want to know why they switched to that stale HUD

In the 0.2 doom readme it says ........
This is a pre-alpha version of DOOM from early February 1993 -- only 2 months

and the 0.2 build looked the best because of the HUD

I think it might have to do with the low resolution. It would block about 1/3 to half the screen, (If you were looking at both sides, you'll see what I mean.) I think they thought it was too bulky.

Got it running in DOSBOX.
EDIT: I'll try it on the PSP very soon!
RE-EDIT: RUNS IN WINDOWS XP WITHOUT DOSBOX.

I Never used these yet because im currently running windows 8 x64.

Use a dos box emulator to run these again 0.4 is very buggy Laugh out loud

all of the doom alphas work in xp except 0.2(unless im doing something wrong Laugh out loud)
